Mobile Content Challenge 2008
Just saw the event poster at the School of Engineering office, Mobile Content Challenge is back!!
This competition is the initiative of Maxis Communication Bhd, KTAK and SKMM.
The aim of this challenge:
… is to encourage students to develop mobile content and applications, identify and cultivate an innovative mindset among students and to nurture a community of young entrepreneurs who will develop Malaysian content.
Note: The deadline for entry submission is 31st July 2008. However, you might want to register your team earlier as there is a deadline for registration on 10th July 2008.
Consider that not only this is a chance to participate in mobile content development but also an opportunity to win the great prizes:
Best Mobility Content - RM30,000 for Team + RM30,000 for IHL
Runners-up - RM10,000 each Team for Additional Special Prizes:
• Mobile commerce
• Mobile info base
• Mobile learning/education
• Mobile entertainment

Meanwhile, they will be conducting workshop in several cities from 14th ~ 24th July, don’t miss the workshop if you happened to be in the city they are visiting.
MCC Workshops
Workshops that will highlight trends and development in the content development industry will be held regionally around Malaysia during July 2008. MCC organizers and partners will also be present for a special opportunity to network directly with the industry. Workshops are also a great opportunity to get more information and to ask questions regarding MCC concepts for submission.
By the way, the Mobile Content Challenge official website is not fully updated yet. Most of the information still dated as 2007. Currently, the updated page is http://mdp.contentchallenge.info/challenge.php where you can download the Summary/Registration Form and Rules&Regulation.
